Mint and lemon are a perfect colour scheme for any wedding and throw in some coral and you’ve added pops of colour for a sophisticated wedding.  Yellow is one of those controversial colours, it’s bright and happy but doesn’t look good on everyone (myself included).  When I got married the one request my Maid of Honour had was for me not to choose yellow for her dress, she was happy to wear any other colour but not yellow or it’s varying shades.  Luckily this wasn’t a colour that we even considered but if you really want to include it in your day, how about choosing a softer shade like pale lemon and combining it with other colours.

Wedding inspiration board using lemon, mint and coral colour combination with wedding cake, bridal shoes, place setting and bouquet

Pale yellow or lemon is not as harsh as yellow but still has a zing and happiness about it and combined with the warm tones of coral and the softness of contrasting mint this colour palette really creates a luxe and romantic feel.  This combination doesn’t have to be included in every element of your day, yellow and coral work brilliantly for your flowers and offer so many options to choose from such as dahlias, peonies, tulips, lisianthus and roses.

Add injections of contrasting mint to your day through your accessories (I’m loving these shoes in this inspiration board), your menus and your cake.  Dress your girls (or guys) in a shade of coral, mint or even pale yellow if you dare. Combined all together this contrasting colour palette gives a soft, romantic feel for a wedding in any season.
