I’m not going to lie, details are my thing. Do you remember that episode of Friends where they’re decorating the Christmas tree and Monica is on one side precisely placing decorations in specific places on the tree and the others are throwing decorations on randomly? That’s me, I’m Monica. Everything I do is detail-driven. It’s thoughtfully researched, planned and meticulously delivered. It’s a trait that sometimes drives my husband crazy, particularly when I spend 20 mins making sure the tablecloth is straight before setting the table for a dinner party, but my obsession for the details means I am great at what I do and you and your guests have an unforgettable and flawless wedding experience.
You just can’t have a wedding without details, and by that I mean that it’s not just about the pretty and the beautiful, it’s also the meticulously planned logistical details that make your wedding day happen. Planning a wedding is like a puzzle, there are so many moving parts and you are dealing with many different people to create your special day. Each of those moving parts will have its own requirements and possibly challenges, everything from the time you can have access to your ceremony or reception space through to what happens if it rains and you’re having an outdoor reception. That’s where I come in. I help you manage all those details, problem-solving and planning the logistics – everything from what time the make-up artist needs to arrive, how long to allow for your photos, how many bottles of wine you’ll need for dinner, where the florist will park to unload your flowers to making sure your ceremony and reception spaces are set out how you envisaged.
We’ve all been there, attended a wedding where some of the details just weren’t there and the bride and groom were so busy sorting things out that they couldn’t relax and kick back with a glass of fizz. A wedding where it rained and there was no wet weather provision, a wedding reception with different spaces but guests didn’t know where they were going to, that magic moment between the happy couple when they exchanged their vows that you couldn’t hear, not enough food/drink/wedding favours, a disruptive guest or a family drama threatening to over-shadow the wedding day.
Now, I can’t guarantee it won’t rain, but I will ensure there is a plan if it does and your wedding is outside, I’ll be there to make sure that the people with the special dietary requirements aren’t given something they shouldn’t, I’ll help calm diffusive situations and I’ll look after you and your guests and make your day as seamless as possible.
It’s true what they say, it’s all in the details.
