The leaves changing colour, sunny days that have a chill in the air, and curling up with a delicious cocktail are just some of my favourite things about Autumn.
I’ve really missed entertaining, I love creating experiences for my friends to enjoy, with (hopefully!) delicious food, a beautifully set table and an abundance of wine, love and laughter.
I, for one, can’t wait for the restrictions here in England to be lifted so I can entertain again at home. For the moment, I’ll be content with trying different cocktails ready for when I can welcome guests again.
This recipe from Louise Roe combines some of my favourite things – Gin and Elderflower cordial. I love this combination and mixed with the cranberry and apple it’s really delicious.
This recipe makes 1 serving. To make it, you will need:
- 50ml measure of Gin
- 20ml homemade elderflower cordial or store-bought elderflower liqueur
- 100ml pressed apple juice (Jazz or another semi sweet apple juice)
- 10ml lemon juice
- 25ml cranberry juice
Method:
- Combine all the liquid ingredients and pour over ice cubes.
- Serve in a tall glass with an apple fan garnish and a long flower blossom (make sure the flowers are edible).
