Love it or hate it, Ultra Violet is in for 2018.  Pantone, the colour authority, have released their colour of the year for 2018, and according to them, Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking.

Now some might say this is a very similar shade to Cadbury’s Purple, a stalwart wedding colour favourite for many brides.  Personally, I think this shade is so much richer and has a luxurious and opulent feel to it.  I also love what this colour communicates and you can be original, visionary and show ingenuity in how you use it.

Granted it’s not for everyone, but for a subtle nod to the colour of the year, I love this inspiration in the board I’ve together here.  The bling of these shoes peeking out from under your wedding dress, the subtle pops of colour in the flowers, and a nod to the colour in the cake design – it’s not over the top but it’s luxe, elegant and romantic.
